Waverly Place Advisors was initially founded in 2018 when Matt Victor was approached by two people looking for help setting up the books for their new start-ups. He eagerly agreed to help, not that he had much of choice as one of the requests came from his brother. Since then, Matt has supported Waverly clients in various capacities with the help of partners.

To ensure deep client focus, Waverly has always maintained a limited active client roster and has made this a core part of the company. You are hiring our principals - and we will only work with you if you are getting the attention you need.

A licensed CPA, Matt had been leading the finance function for venture- and private equity-backed companies after beginning his career in public accounting. Through his experience, both within Waverly and externally, Matt has focused his work on 1) implementing sustainable growth strategies and financial management and 2) the controls and guardrails for early identification of financial troubles.

In 2024, realizing a changing tide in the venture and lower, middle market capital markets, Matt dragged his wife Lily into the business. A licensed CPA as well, she has experience managing the books and taxes for a number of HNW individuals and small business. Lily subsequently spent time managing the finances for a number of multi-family real estate properties.

In 2025, Matt rejoined Waverly full-time. Matt and Lily look forward to connecting with you and helping navigate whatever challenges or opportunities lie ahead.
